Angel View offers a unique summer program at its own Camp Forrest

Angel View offers a unique summer program at its own Camp Forrest located in the high desert on 17-acres in Joshua Tree, California. Camp Forrest serves able bodied and disabled youth from all over the Coachella Valley by providing a unique summer camp experience.

The camp's purpose is twofold

  1. To create an enjoyable environment shared by both disabled and non-disabled Coachella Valley children.
  2. To promote awareness about the disabled in the community by bringing both groups together.

Camp Activities

All activities are designed and geared to easily challenge each camper's individual capabilities and goals.

Our highly trained staff strives to make a difference in the lives of the campers. Each staff member must complete 48 hours of pre-camp training, which includes safety/wellness, behavior management and child abuse prevention. Camp Forrest, located in Joshua Tree, California, is a summer haven for Angel View children as well as non-physically challenged youth from local communities.

The summer camp season offers eight, six-day sessions accommodating up to 200 children. The camp is offered free of charge to enthusiastic youth from all over the Coachella Valley and surrounding regions. This very special camp is funded by generous donations and sponsorships from individuals and organizations seeking to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth. The cost to send one child to camp is $600 and includes lodging, meals and all activities.

With donor support, Angel View has built four cabins that house 25 campers each weekly session throughout the summer months. Activities include swimming, archery, arts and crafts, campfire gatherings and field trips.
